Parade Drill
Drill is an integral part to any Military based organisation, since it develops discipline and the ability to take orders. Both these qualities are invaluable in Military and Civilian life
Also it makes an individual aware of those around them, since everyone in the squad relies on each other to complete movements correctly and keep in time with one-another.
Drill is practiced fairly regularly and most, even if not at first, find drill rewarding
Several times a year the need arises for the Squadron to parade and show ourselves to the public, so we like to make sure our drill looks good. Such occasions include "The Battle of Britain Parade" and the "Armistice Parade" marking the end of hostilities in the First World War.

Competition Drill
Every year the squadron attends the annual Wing Training Weekend, where all the squadrons in the Wing compete against one another in many activities, including Drill. A set sequence needs to be followed and all movements need to be perfect if a Squadron is to stand any chance of winning, as the standard is extremely high!

Banner Drill
Another form of drill is referred to as Baner Drill. This is where the Squadron ensign is paraded to a set sequence, and usually takes part on special occasions or in competition. (Such as the Wing Training Weekend)
